Well what a day! Left hostel at 8.15am by taxi to the waterfront to catch the boat to Robben Island. Nice sunny day so fairly calm trip. Once there we had an hours bus tour of the island with all it's history. Then we were given a tour of the cells, including Nelson Mandela's, by an ex prisoner. The whole thing made us think about what it must have been like for the prisoners. We then returned to the mainland and spent the afternoon exploring the waterfront visiting numerous craft shops. After that we had a bit of an adventure finding our way back on their crazy bus system!! Now Exhausted! Not many photos today as have to use iPod as can't download from our cameras here. The pictures show Mandela's cell and his cell block and then Cape Town from the Island and a general photo of the Waterfront. Thanks for your comments
