Day 17 Into Kruger Park

This is the first of our Kruger blogs which somehow we lost, so we have rewritten them to send.
What a fantastic day!
We came to Kruger National Park after lunch, later than we had planned but God knew the right time to come.
In the 3 hours we drove (slowly) through the Park gates along to our residence, we saw an amazing number of wild animals:- many Impala deer, elephants in the near distance, giraffes up close crossing the road in front of us! Zebras close to with a baby that seemed injured (which was sad).
Then we came to a water hole where there were 2 rhino on the far bank but could be seen quite clearly, hippos in the water which hardly moved, a croc half out of the water and buffaloes.
Later we saw some lions but they were well hidden in the bush, a large tortoise and Kudu (deer with stripes).
We also saw several native birds - helmeted guinea fowl, a kestrel, a grey heron, a European roller and a Cape glossy starling.
Almost at our residence we met a group of spotted hyenas close up on the road - horrible things!!
And then just outside our house there were some small bush pigs.
What an absolutely wonderful experience.
We are staying in a great house in the staff village (probably could get 2 or 3 of Margaret,s bungalows in it)
God has provided amazingly for us and we praise HIm.
