Day 11 Back to Jo'burg and the Storm!

Last night we forgot to say we had 2 visitors. The first was Rachel, who some of you know, who did CYM year with Tom and Lou, now living in Cape Town and the second was Peter Laubscher, from the Leprosy Mission in SouthAfrica, who knew Margaret from India. Today started with RAIN. The first we have had since we've been here. But it soon cleared up and we went for breakfast of almond croissants with Rachel. Then, having packed our bags ready for the off, we took a taxi down to the District 6 Museum which tells the story of the black people being forced out of their homes in District 6, by the whites. It is housed in a disused Methodist church which tried to help them. It was very moving. Then it was back to the hostel to collect our luggage, say goodbye to people there, and off to the airport for our flight back to Jo'burg. Just got back before a violent storm started which was quite scary and VERY close!! Thankfully it is moving away now. Another very early start tomorrow as we begin the next leg of our travels. Watch this space. Not sure if we will have Internet connection to do it daily.
